15/5 for Week 2

This week our team met with Dr. Barbour and asked him many questions about the development of our project. He answered the questions graciously and left me with the impression that he had no doubt we could do a great job designing for him.He sent us many useful files from previous work done by another team that will help us lay a foundation. Our next step is to contact Debbie Crabtree who will direct us towards our target population, the students we will work with this semester.
We began work on our Project Charter and began preparations for our Needs Analysis. This week we laid the groundwork for a project and I am beginning to see the form our product will take.

Weekly Team Meeting

Our team set a time for our first meeting with Dr. Barbour for Wed January 29th at 6:00 PM. We discussed what questions to ask Dr. Barbour and in what order the questions would be asked. Our questions regard students, the evaluation of the project and how it will be applied, content and format, and what the successful end product will look like. We hope to have many answers Wed night and a very good idea of the the direction we will take.

15/5 for Week 1

This week I learned which team I was on and met with my teammates. We chose our project, assigned positions, (I'm Lead Evaluator) designed each individual web site, and helped with the team website. We held a meeting on Thursday night to met with Dr. Grant and the two project sponsors. Our team then met on Wednesday night to make sure we understand our roles and make sure we were all on the same page.

I went ahead and looked at some of the requirements of the Lead Evaluator and checked over the Needs Analysis and Formative Evaluation. There are many components to our project this semester but I'm going to do my best to stay on top of things. I feel really good about the team I was assigned to and think this will be a very fun, challenging semester.

On Friday January 17th I learned that I was the Lead Evaluator for our team which we call Tiger Instructional Designs. I began to gather ideas for our Needs Analysis and looked ahead to the Formative Assessment.

On Monday January 20th I created my webpage and personal bio for our team page. I spent two hours learning how to use Google Sites and left thinking I will need to spend many more hours in order to master it.

IDT 7095

Jan. 16th, 2014- IDT 7095 met Thursday night to go over the syllabus and get to know each other. We met with the two clients who introduced their proposals. While the Tai Chi proposal looked interesting I was immediately drawn towards the visual online school proposal. The other four members of my team met and agreed this would be the proposal we sought. We were excited to find out from Dr. Grant that this would be the project we worked on this semester.
